The Visibility Doctrine™ — Doctrine 003: Every Crisis Announces Itself

The Visibility Doctrine™

Book I — Visibility Begins Before You Are Seen

Doctrine 003

Every crisis announces itself.

Few people recognise the announcement.

Every crisis announces itself. Long before it is named a crisis, it is only an irregularity — a delay, a repetition, an exception dismissed as unusual.

The announcement rarely arrives as alarm. It arrives as noise easy to explain away: a customer who hesitates, a number that drifts, a silence where there used to be a question.

By the time a crisis is recognised as a crisis, the announcement is old. The event has not sped up — recognition has simply taken this long to catch up with what already happened.

Recognition

The announcement is rarely dramatic. It appears first as delay, repetition, silence, distortion or exception.

Canonical Lines

  • The event is late.
  • The signal came earlier.
  • Crisis is often recognition delayed.
